Black Duck Studio classes are a great way to learn the art of pottery and ceramics. These classes typically cover a variety of topics, including:
- The different types of clay and their properties
- Hand-building techniques
- Surface design techniques
- Underglazing & Glazing
We have workshops for all skill levels, kids through to teens and adults; from beginners to experienced potters.
Our workshops are a lot of fun and a great way to relax and de-stress. Learn a new skill and create beautiful works of art – let’s go!
Seasonal Clay Workshops
Our Wollongong studio and Shellharbour pop-up clay sessions are all run on a seasonal program.
This means the clay workshops are always new and exciting!
Seasonal workshops are run on weekends throughout the school term and weekdays during school holidays.

Kids Clay School
We run homeschool and after-school clay clubs for all school-aged kids.
Kids are given guidelines for clay hand-building techniques, but they have complete creative control over their projects. We believe in creating safe spaces for creativity to truly thrive.
(We accept creative kids vouchers too!)
School Holidays at Black Duck Studio
Come and join us each school holidays for a jam-packed schedule with something for everyone! We offer drop off programs or workshops that the whole family can enjoy.
