workshop details:

Make your own ceramic mug using the slab method and you will find it easier to build a taller, narrower mug, in comparison to the Curvy Pinch Mug class.

You will end up with a mug that looks more typical of a commercially made mug. This technique is useful is you want the sides to be generally flat, straight up and down. Also handy if you are interested in stamping patterns into your clay before rolling it up into a cylinder!

How to decide on your glaze options:

Kiln-fired Clay Option $75 – Your piece will be fired, foodsafe, white and clear glazed. No painting / colour included.

Kiln-fired Clay & Paint Option $85 – Same as above but you get to stay an extra hour to paint it.

Two-part Kiln-Fired Clay & Fancy Glaze Option $115 – These glazes can only be applied after your piece gets fired, so we split the class into 2 workshops. You make it, leave, we fire it, you come back and paint it in a second workshop.
