Make your own ceramic serving platter and impress your guests at the next dinner party!
This platter design has taken over social media feeds of late, with the natural curves creating little ledges for carrot & celery sticks, cheeses and small curved divots for dips!
This platter is a simple slab design that is a makes for a very intuitive creative process. Everyone’s platter will have its own personality! You can keep it very basic, with large areas for all kinds of food, or create some convoluted shapes to make it as complex as you like!
- Standard sized platter $110
- (Which is our XL ceramic piece volume)
Maximum volume = 2500cm3
(e.g. 25cm x 20cm x 5cm high)
- Upsized platter $130
- (Which is our XXL ceramic piece volume)
Maximum volume = 3000cm3
(e.g. 30cm x 30cm x 5cm high)
- Upsized platter $150
- (Which is our 3XL ceramic piece volume)
Maximum volume = 3500cm3
(e.g. 35cm x 20cm x 5cm high)
All options include:
• Midfire clay to hand-build your piece
• Templates, tools and aprons to use
• A teacher guiding you through the process
• Hand-building techniques
• Underglaze colours to paint your piece (or upgrade to come back for specialty glazing)
• Your piece will dry for 5 days, then be fired, then be dip-glazed and fired again (to cone 5 or 6).
• Approx. 4 to 5 weeks later you will receive an email that your piece is ready for pick-up
